Unless your teacher assigns this -- don't waste your time reading it.

My daughter needed to read this for school, so I bought it during the summer, then decided to give it a try, so I'd know what she was reading. Forced myself to slog through the first 2-3 chapters, not liking it at all -- and then I realized, "hey, I don't have to read this -- it isn't MY assignment!" and went back to reading books that I could enjoy and that wouldn't waste my time.
